I wanted to revisit this management tool because I really think it will work for any classroom.
*Power Pellets -Anytime I call out "Power Position" the students have to stop what they are doing, fold their arms, and look at me. The first one to do so quietly will get a Power Pellet (aka, one skittle). Seriously teachers, THIS WORKS! I don't even really yell the words, I just simply and casually say them and they stop. It's magic what one Skittle will do for a kiddo! Click HERE for a download of the Power Pellet tag for the jar!
| Sorry, not the best picture! This is the "Power Pellet" jar. *This idea came from my team at my elementary school and I just love them....they inspire me! |

This and the "brain sprinkles" will be a hit my room next year! Thanks for sharing!
:D Cute idea! This is a crazy time of year right now. I bet this works wonderfully at this time of year :D
Love that idea!
Adorable idea! I can't wait to try it out with my little peanuts! :)
Love this!!!
I am wondering if you can connect me with any third grade teaching blogs? I love your site and can adapt a lot of your ideas, but would also love to follow a fellow third grade teacher. Thanks!
It is amazing what one skittle can do. I'm not teaching in the classroom currently, but I'll steal this idea when I go back. Thanks for sharing. Love the power position and power pellet words! Learning is power.
Mama McAfee,
I haven't seen many upper grade blogs! I think that is why our blog works so well because Natalie and I both work on this blog and I teacher lower grade and she teaches upper grade! :) But, if I find anything I will be sure to post it!!!
